Improving MDT Meetings

MDT meetings are now a fundamental part of cancer services in the UK. Some run better than others and with this in mind the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges have produced this useful guidance document, Eductional Initiatives to Improve the Effectiveness of Cancer Multidisciplinary Teams (no longer available). In addition the National Cancer Action Team has commissioned the management consultants Business Boffins to consult and then produce further guidance on improving MDTs which should be out in 2010. I suspect that it will come to much the same conclusions but with the weight of the DoH and a lengthly document behind it.
