Health and Social Care Committee: Report from the Committee's Expert Panel on Cancer Services

The Expert Panel was established to conduct an independent evaluation of the Government’s progress against its policy commitments in the area of cancer services in England. The Expert Panel was chaired by Professor Jane Dacre, with medical oncologists Professor Samreen Ahmed and Professor Janet Brown providing specialist advice to the Expert Panel, and others contributing to the round table discussions and the call for evidence. The Expert Panel used CQC-style ratings from “inadequate” to “outstanding” to measure progress in a number of specific pledges covering a range of policy areas relating to cancer services. A final overall rating of inadequate was given.
